Memorial Message:
My father, Charles Nave passed away 05/21/2009. He was the former chief of police in Fairburn, Ga. He served Fairburn on the police force as patrolman in 1967 and in 1973 or 1974 he became chief of police, served as chief until 1988 and continued his employ with Fairburn as the only code enforcement officer until 1998 when he retired after 30 years of service. He started Campbell High School in 1954 and would have graduated in 1957 or 1958. According to past conversations I had with my father he finished high school in the army. He loved Fairburn just as he loved his own family. It was like "Mayberry" back in those days. There will never be another police chief like my father, Charles Nave, or as everyone called him...Chief Nave, even after he retired. Alot of people I went to Campbell with used to tease me in school about being the daughter of the chief of police I miss him very much. God Bless You Daddy, May You Rest In Peace.
